this is an incredibly helpful resource for transgender folks looking to get hrt!
polish government has opened a website for ukrainians seeking safety and trying to cross the ukrainian-polish border:
ua.gov.pl
as of 13:10 polish time, it has been said as many people as possible will be let through the borders. they are also supposed to let through children who do not have passports, as to not divide families.

Polish person here, I've been on the website, it looks legit! Adding the full link here:
Information is available in Polish, Ukrainian, Russian and English
Please get the help available!
Gov.pl is a legit website connected to the polish government i use it to look at tax info and school stuff (it has the lessons for the teachers written out) and driving license info. So this is legit!!!
Ukrainian friends, you can also cross the border to Slovakia, with or without a passport, or at least that's the latest update from our Ministry of Interior. You must prepare yourselves for waiting in lines as they check every individual vehicle upon entering (waiting times according to our news are hours long because of shitty capacities but hopefully after today the officials will figure out a more effective system). If anybody has a link too, I'd be grateful as I haven't found anything useful prior to adding to the post. I hope you all stay safe.

Taking effect July 2022, the US Suicide Prevention Hotline will change from 800-273-8255 to the three digit code of 988. Especially with families and communities reeling from back to back tragedies, it is super important to share this information!
Repeat: Starting July 2022, the US Suicide Prevention Hotline will be 988

Important add-ons, though, as someone who’s done policy work on this:
Uhm yeah I’ll add more stuff if I can think of anything.
Thank you for the added information. Reblog this version as well, folkz.
just wanted to make a general donations post for native americans
and here’s a map of what indigenous land you are living on if you want to donate specific towards those people and tribes 💗

help support returning land, including burial grounds, to the shinnecock nation
I guess it makes sense that people with an all or nothing viewpoint will see incremental change, no matter how significant, as no change at all.
Helping everyone 30% is pointless because 30 always rounds down to 0. Helping millions is pointless if tens of millions are affected.
The people who are hurt while we wait for the perfect solution, who wouldn't be hurt if we solved the problem incrementally? Irrelevant, they're not all the people, so they don't count.
It doesn't matter that we can save some lives and end some suffering, or that it's easier to fix 70% of the problem after we fix 30% of it. 0% or 100% are the only options and if you accept anything less than 100% you are approving of the remaining people not being helped. Anything less than everything rounds down to nothing and it's better to do nothing than to do less than everything.
Um also i said i would be taking a backseat but consider donating to these organizations also this indigenous history month because we are quite a small community in comparison to many
This one is for poverty in mi'kmaq communities and their website offers education on the disparity people face when living on the reservations
This one is for disabled mi'kmaq peoples as accessibility is quite difficult when many of us live under the poverty & in incredibly rural areas
This one is for city natives, their goal is to branch into urban areas where our language and culture can be accessed communally
And this month if you see any first nations or i'nuk people posting their information please at least boost. Especially to LGBTQ ntvs. Thank you and happy indigenous history month ❤️
